Warm-up yearling. Getting ready for good buds to come down next week and chase some big ones! A little too warm for November but it is supposed to change in the next day or so!

Nice fish Big. The group I usually fish with are heading to Avon from the 12th to 19th. There will be close to 60 of them this year. Unfortunately I'm not coming due to lower back disc issues. They will be staying in 6 houses on Ocean Isle Loop near Frank & Fran's Tackle Shop. Known as the Blues Brothers, they have been doing this for close to 50 years. To a man they are an outstanding group that I have been privileged to accompany on their annual pilgrimage for the last 5 years.

Spoke to one of the members of the group headquartered in Avon earlier this evening and was told the fishing has been great for drum today with a lot of citation fish being landed in addition to yearlings, blues and flounder.

I missed the group this year but managed to pull this one out on Friday night. Not YUGE but healthy 42"!

Report from Hatteras says many big drum were caught last night at the point and it seems a repeat is occurring tonight also.

My bride just told me to stop moping and go catch a big drum. I love that gal!!!! Will report back this weekend.
