Able Lure Co. was a small co. run out of Philadelphia. The company's owner mad his own molds and poured every lure himself. Ernie Westauf's Bait and Tackle Shop was the only place to get them in NJ. I used to order them in bulk right from the owner. The company went out of business in th e mid-90s when the owner--in his 70s--retired.

My question---Does anyone have any of these left or know of anyone that does? Ernie Westhauf ran out of them in 2001. He actually has cases of them left but won't sell them.

Let me know if anyone has any helpful info.

Thanks,
Neil Feldman

I know people with cases of them, too. What's the reason for the post?

Thanks for the reply...My reason for the post is I would like to find some and purchase them from anyone willing to sell some. So, if you do know anyone who might be interested in selling a few, please let me know.

Thanks very much,
Neil

Here's a nice picture of a striped bass. Must be one that you experts caught.

I'll ask around, Neil. These guys knew the owner. When he went out of business he gave away cases of lures to people he used to fish with. Maybe some will want to sell. They could be like Ernie though and want to hang on to them.

I know this is a really old thread, but I still have a few my Great-grandpa gave me about 25 years ago.
