Default some stuff i've been working on recently.

here's some other plugs besides the jointed poppers that i've been working on. all were done with a hand dremel sander and a power drill since i dont really have any way to utilize a lathe when i can do it just as easy with the hand tools i do have.

10" 3 piece eel-like jointed swimmer. Has a lazy "S" kinda swimming motion. Looks real nice in the water.

Thanks salty. I really didn't realize that til now. The reason is that I've had a bit of bad luck with some commercial made plugs with only 1 split ring of bigger stripers being able to create enough torque on the hook to actually pop the hook out. An added split ring helps relieve the extra torque on the hook. I've seen alot less lost fish in the surf.

Adjust your drag and you won't have a torque problem.

it honestly has nothing to do with drag. its when they roll and twist it creates torque on the hook and can simply pop it outta the mouth.
