That's a great outing, Frank. How old is she now, about 50? ( I know you robbed the cradle)!

Rob, she is the most beautiful 78 year old woman imaginable. Moreover, her taste in men is impeccable.

The most important thing a person can do in life is choose the right mate. Worse, is the statistical reality that half of our marraiges end in divorce. We all think that won't happen to me but HALF is a scary reality that we all think is going to happen to someone else.

I believe the statistic that "half" end in divorce is skewed, since among my friends... the stats are way way below "half".

That says to me that in certain communities or crowds-that-hang-out-together, the stat is way way above "half" in order to achieve the 50% average.

That implies there are things that couples can do *before* and *after* they get married to ensure a higher probability of success.

And when there is something *I* can do about it, it becomes a whole lot less "scary"

You won't have to worry about failed marriages in today's society, as the free love of living together is financially beneficial than getting married . State and federal benefits outweigh having a piece of paper of marriage .
Example : women with children and no record of daddy provides the monthly check , while daddy lives under the same roof .

You have a point, Hook. But that does not afford Mom much protection when there are kids involved.

Fathers Day this year one of our neighbors had a lot of guests and I told my hunting buddy that they had to invite everybody because they did not know who the real father was.

Winter doldrums I guess. Maybe we are too busy counting our money made from the stock market?

Yes, it is sinking. I just don't know why. It is a reasonable assumption that the fault is mine. But I have not been told yet what I do wrong. This is my 19th year and all of a sudden I am incapable.

Should I close this down?

There are very few forums that carry a critical mass of discussion anymore. So many have taken to social media. Then there is the factor of a group just getting old, without you doing anything wrong.

Keep at it and see what happens when the season picks up.

Francis hang in there man I think your ok , if you need someone to talk to you can always count to me to get by the low periods in your career . Besides over the years even some of the great ones don't sell out every performance .

Did Frank ever have this problem ?

I dont think it is anything that you have done wrong.

Most of the other fishing forums have the same problem of dwindling participation... many have turned into political discussions.

Most striper fishing topics have been covered many times over so it can be hard keep discussions going.

Some people have thin skin, and stay away if they feel slighted or rejected.
That is not your fault at all. I appreciate that you call things as you see them.

I'll try start a new thread once in a while if it would help.
Just read your article in the Fisherman...one tidbit in there got me thinking.

Is it the 50s count? I didn't get mine yet. If you have been thinking, do start a new thread; we need the action.

It did occur to me that my demise might be related to being an NRA guy. Now society is blaming the NRA for the Florida outrage. So, we have become the killers of all those kids.
