I have had this in my hard drive for a while and I know I picked it up here. I think it is great.

The most attractive one is the dark haired one on the right. But the funnest looking one, the one who would be a joy to spend time with, is the one in the middle. (I love this picture.)

i would be happy to have them just stop and talk to me on the beach. As long as my buddies saw it, hah ! Who knows, I might even stretch a fish tale or two or plan some late night casting lessons.

Joe, it never occurred to you that they might be able to teach casting to you?

Of course it did, but it might not occur to them until the sun went down. As long as I was convincing that is.

I wonder how many women fly fish more because it is a chance to meet men? Fly fishing they are more likely to meet Robert Redford than Billy-the-Greek.

That's a fair point.

Years ago my fishing club set up a web page. They listed a contact ph number of the membership chairman. The first person to call was a woman who apparently left a message on this guy's answering machine. She said she was interested in membership and she also wanted to know if the club had single men. The guy's wife picked up the message. The membership chairman then demanded his ph number to be taken off.

But if a woman is looking for man, and she is thinking the right way of going about it is fishing, I don't know. What immediately comes to mind is the old sayng:

"The odds are good, but the goods are odd."

Who, me? I was referring to the green grass, clover, shirt-sleeve weather and the possibility of hooking up after this forever winter.

Kib-

"Hooking up" is a term for a one night stand. Just what are you fishing for?

Hi JC,

My grandchildren informed me about hooking up years ago. Don't you love words and phrases with double meanings? In this case all I'm looking for is a tug on the end of a fly line.

Kib, sounds to me like you have become an anachronism. What we used to call "making out" or "scoring" is now hooking up.
