I'm actually kind of happy for Toronto... those fans have been promised much for years.

If they dont burn up the Mets arms....and they dont implode and miss the playoffs...no one will want them in the playoffs

welp, they be helping their cross town cousins! My question is whether it's going to be an all MO series this year? (though it can't quite match the all-St Louis WS "The 1944 World Series was an all-St. Louis World Series, matching up the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Browns at Sportsman's Park. It marked only the third time in World Series history in which both teams had the same home field"

well I think we have seen the last of Parnell; he looked totally lost last weekend but we lost Friday night when runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and Cespedes, Uribe and Murphy failed to get one home; that's why we went extra innings; but I'm confident still, esp if Matz comes back; middle bullpen still the problem but the pitching makes me smile; Clippard is the addition that no one mentions but is really valuable; now Noah needs to show he can pitch well on the road; and it's true...no one wants to face this pitching in playoffs

".no one wants to face this pitching in playoffs " this rotation has not seen the playoffs yet ...It is a different ball game all together..... LA Dodgers can tell you that !

basics...starters need to go 7 at least, then Clippard and Familia; have some hopes for Robles but he is young; we can't rely on the rest of the pen

The bull pen makes a difference in a playoff series. All those pitchers will not get a start and certainly won't get 6 days off. In September they will have to adjust that rotation to get prepared for a potential playoff appearance.

well football season has (sort of started) and the Bombers celebrated with 2 touchdowns and 2 field goals off the Braves.

meanwhile the Mets are doing what they need to do for the September run.

For the Yanks, it will likely come down to their remaining games with the Jays. A wildcard is in play, but no one wants that, though it beats the alternative
