Yanks vs Cubs would be fantastic.... I'd LOVE to see "sweet Lou" lose. Have no idea how the moniker of "sweet" got applied to Pinella... he seems anything BUT *LOL*

My hope is that it will be Yankees vs Cubs because it would be historic and Torre needs to slap down Pinella.

My second choice would be Indians vs Phillies
I also would like Indians vs Phillies. Also Cubs vs Indians

I agree Cubs and Yankees would be the biggest draw.

That Rockies team is so exciting I would like to see anybody play with that type of enthusiasm. That was a great game the other night vs the Padres.

I was with a few Indian fans over the past few weeks and to the man the hoped to avoid the Yankees. We will see what CC and Carmona can prove they are who their stats say they are.

If the Sox cant win, I like to see Indians vs Cubs or Rockies, it would be great to see a one of those 3 times take it all.

What, nobody eagerly looking forward to 'Zona/Angels?

The extended LCS format sucks, btw... that's why if it comes down to Sox/Yanks the Sox sweep... Yanks starting P has got no gas left in the tank.

Personally, I'll pull for the hapless Cubbies.

The question was, who will the Yanks face in the WS.

Answer: nobody, 'cause they ain't going.

Actually, I like the Yankees chances of going to the series if they beat Cleveland and Boston beats the Angels. If the Yankees, who by the way were the hottest team after the all star break, beat the Indians in 3 or 4 games and the Red Sox have to go 5 with all that travelling from coast to coast, who do you think would have more gas in the tank.

I'm elated that the Yankees are not playing the Angels right now and I (this is going to sound bizzarre) hope Boston beats L.A.

Well, I have faith the yanks will beat the Indians so I'm not worried about this series. Boston will beat the Angels and we'll see them next round for one hell of an AL Series. I don't know what's gonna happen in the NL, but I think the Rockies are gonna be tough to beat.

I've been amused all week with some Yankee fans I know that just happened to jump right back on the band wagon Especially the one's that were pissing and moaning all season about how we wouldn't even break .500.

Hey I piss and moan every season. I am a superstitious fool and refuse to be the mush. When I say they suck and will not make it, they end up doing good.

Been a Yankee fan since 1973. Went to a lot of games in the 80's when they really sucked. Don't even start with me and the bandwagon amusement.

Wasn't accusing anyone on this site of jumping on the bandwagon, especially you. I'm referring to some of the guys I work with that went as far as taking yankee stickers off their hardhats, magnets off cars, and all that stuff. One of the guys came in today with a huge flag on his tailgate Like I said, I love it. LOL.

oh well, when you're game 1 starter gives up 12 runs in 5+ innings, you are not going far in October.

still early, but it looks like the Yanks will have a very different face next year.

No Joe
No A-rod
No Mo
No Kong

others likely around...depending on who the mgr/gm turn out to be (tho Cashman will likely hang around another year).

The Yanks should still win a good number of games... 85+, maybe 90+.

But they will likely, at this point in the world of bball conjectures, not make the playoffs.

And I would've started Moose for Game 4. Period. It was clear the Indians had Wang's number.

Mariano Rivera has made it very clear to Cashman (interesting name huh?) that if Joe goes so does Mo. I really believe he means it too, it's not just about the benjamins with Rivera. Hard to believe I know.

You were right on the Yankees. Way to go. We were both wrong on the Cubs.
