Exclamation where are those reports?

I have been fishing the danvers river system, massachusetts bay, bevery and salem harbor the past couple weeks. fishing seems rather slow even after midnight before and after high tide. Where are the fish hitting these days??
I see MANY baitfish and some fish slamming the surface, but they don't seem to want to take my bait or Storm shads. I have been fishing these areas becuase they are a small distance away from my house and they are convenient to go before and after work. On the weekend I like to go out and drive some places...any suggestions?

I have been fishing Parker River Wildlife Refuge, the fish are going nuts
there have been major blitzes all week, you just have to match the hatch like in fly fishing find out the size and color of the bait and you should catch.

We were busting them hard at the Refuge on Sept. 02. Friday night from about 1 1/2 hours either side of midnight (high tide) couldn't keep a baited line in the water, almost soon as I cast out there were fish on. My homemade Hi-Lo rigs kept me in frequent doubles, all fish from 24" to just under keeper size. Awesome night weatherwise, water very calm and absolutely weed free.

Other than midnight, from sundown Friday to just past noon Saturday fishing was slow but steady, averaging fish every half hour or so.

Tattoobob, when are you headed back? I'm shooting for this Friday for another overnight.

Seeing bass in the crest is one of the sweetest sights in the striper surf.

Yep that's where the fish are.
Came home with 2 and going back for more!
Lots of good sized schoolies and keepers here and there.
All on worms.

We fished Herring cove down the Cape this week
blues are just everywhere there.
Stopped at the HOOK UP to talk to Onshore and got the scoop.
Thanks Bill for the great worms and sand eels.
They liked the sand eels better!

Togue, I have been there every night sense Friday, Having 2 4WD is the way to go I am taking 2 nights off so I can get some sleep I have over 300 stripers under my belt just this week, the blitzes are unbelievable and they only seem to want one thing. and we found out what that was early Friday.
and it wasn't bait.

Those pictures were from my wife, I take a photographer everywhere I go. you should see the movie she made it is unfreakenbelievable. headed to the cape for Nelson's B&T tourny.

Nice! I see the fish gods are smiling on you. Any size to the fish you are catching?

Was wondering on the drive to work today if owning multiple vehicles would be one way of getting around the 2-on, 2-off restriction, and I gather the answer is yes. Thanks for the info, stuck with one vehicle for now though.

Good luck with the tourney this weekend.

Any chance you might share your "discovery"?

There is a way around every rule you just have to out smart them, the registration just has to be in someone else's name and that person has to be with you.
I have been catching all between 14 to 26 inch fish about 30 have been keepers, and 1/2 of those were just 28 if not 28 1/2 with the biggest being 32 inches. last night the surf was mad and the current was going north I had a hard time holding bottom and the waves were 4 to 8 foot. bring alot of lead and a small amount of weed starting to form. we were the only ones on the beach.

was out in a little boat a couple hundred yeards off the mouth on monday and were nailing the blues.

tuesday night was surfcasting at the mouth w/ no luck. one one schooly was caught between all the people i could see.

might be headed up tonight to the refuge and aim for some stripers. probably lot 1. have had ok luck there this summer but no keepers.

is there better spots on the refuge? a coworker has mentioned some but i usually head up alone and end up going where i know.

im still a midwestern born - surfcasting noob. its been alot of fun this summer.

if you see a pretty heavily tattooed guy thats most likely me.

say hey and give me a few pointers. i wont mind

gus

edit - forgot about NY/BOS game. may stay home for that.
