I am tipping my cap to both those guys, Big time pitchers, having a bad night never gave in and helped there bullpens out by pitching thru the 6th. How did Schilling only give up 5 earned runs? Moose really started to pitch well after his early trouble too.

Schill rebounds from his worst start with 7innings, 1 ER, 6 hits, 10ks. Schill takes so much pride in doing his job as a starter, going deep in a game, its admirable.
Torre has got to let his guys go deeper, if they screw up, they screw up. But dont bury the team for days by killing the pen. I am not blaming him though, players have to execute. Cant believe he was boo'd though after walking off the field Sunday, was it Torres fault Proctor could throw a strike. Ridiculous .... Torre should expect strikes from a guy like Proctor???

Torre hasn't managed well in years its his plan to use the pen after 6 and now it comes back to bite him he lost the last 2 series by refusal to play small ball still these days how many times bases are loaded 0 outs and no run scored dosn't matter what you think of the players THATS ALL MANAGER If mattingly was managing those little things would be done

The Yankees can still achieve their goal if they get in the playoffs

The serpent is not dead yet, the head is still on the body. Sealing the deal will be when they are eliminated from division AND the wild card. Way too much time left in the season.

Rob, there is more than one team in NY. Come on over to our side. The Band Wagon Leaves the station after the all-star break.

Sorry ptw, , I stopped cheering for the Mets ever since
the fans booed the Grand Orange one day while I was in attendance.

(not that the yankees "fans" don't commit similar atrocities... booing
for a-rod notwithstanding *LOL* )

Really? When will you be changing your avatar???? Come on root for the Mets, it's not too late. They're a fun team to watch, kind of like the "old" Yanks. (you know... when they were younger)

The Mets will be "like" the "old" Yanks after they've gotten to the series 3 or 4 times in a row and won a couple of them

maybe THEN I'll jump on the bandwagon... NOT!

Thumbs up Re: "What a comeback"

Rob:

You are too funny with the pics!

Love the one of the kids.

My wife was cleaning up around here over the weekend and found tons of pics of our "little guy" now on his Varsity squad in HS as a freshman.

There were pics of when he was a little guy in tee-ball and Little League and then up thru the AAU travel ranks.

They grow up so quickly! Enjoy them!

Rob, that is very funny. I bet those kids score more runs than the Yanks do per game, they only play, what 7 innings? Do you know the Yanks have averaged 4 runs per game since May 10th? Another thing I bet those kids have more of... HEART! I heard today that the rocket isn't going to pitch up in Boston! What a puss! I hear he only wants to pitch against the Devil Rays, Rangers, Blue Jays , A'S, White Soxs And Orioles!

Boy, has the worm turned in NY. They really messed up this team. IMO it's going to take a few years to fix this mess.
