I missed the cowboy game, but was not shocked at the result

I watched about 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. Giants had just scored and down by 6, needed a stop to get the ball back. They had a chance to stop the bears on 2 consecutive third downs, I watched so many missed tackles it told me all I needed about the game and I shut it off. Then I read Eli had 3 MORE picks for the game, 15 in 6 games.

Giants haven't been 0-6 since 1976

What a way for a season to blow up...

I went to bed when the Giants tied it up at 7. I figured that was as close is it gets.

Wasn't '76 the year Giants Stadium opened?

Wow, good memory Bob!

I looked it up and check this out:

"Giants Stadium opened on October 10, 1976, as 76,042 fans witnessed a loss by the Giants to the Dallas Cowboys."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giants_Stadium

Guess what date Thursday was?

Just my opinion based on casual sofa observation but after watching the Saints - Patriots game it occurs to me that there seems to be more "will not return" injuries than in past years. With the new players agreement they only have contact practice once a week. Could this contribute as they may not be conditioned to take the inevitable hit?

Possibly but I think it's due to prolonged steroid use

If you didn't see the end of the Saint's - Patriots game yesterday, it's worth looking up.

Saints were up by a point, then were able to get a field goal. 3 minutes left, made a stop on the Pats, but the Saints O couldn't hold the ball. with less than 2 minutes left, no timeouts Brady took them down the field.

He through a pinpoint pass to the corner of the end zone with 5 seconds left to win the game, with a rookie receiver.

edit: while still worthy of thanks... Eli is no longer an "elite" QB (Joe, thought you'd appreciate that confession from a Giants fan)

Halftime of the Steelers - Ravens game. I realized that I can watch any football game that is on even if it is not my team. I can't do that with baseball. I used to be such a baseball fan.

In other good news, the 'skins won, the eagles lost.

I don't care about the 'skins, but anything that makes the eagles season more miserable is a good thing

The only team with a worse points-for-against total than the Giants in the NFL is Jacksonville.
