Fished IBSP from 6:30 am to 10:00 am. Not a bite. Threw bait & artificials. Didn't see anyone else catching either. But it was a great day to be there weather wise.

Moco Outfront: 3P 5P low tide Slight ESE wind with a thigh high swell and clean clear water. Fished some holes with the light casting gear bouncing a hammered spoon and teaser. One micro fluke on the teaser. No bait observed

IBSP bait-chunks of shad, from 3:00 to 6:00. Nothing but crabs.
I had moved up to Seaside by 6:00 and noticed that the wind had died down and switched from SSW to WSW, and noticed a few serious looking guys showed up throwing plugs just as I was packing up. I went to my car and brought back my lighter rod and threw an Atom popper for about 10 minutes before I got a nice blow up. It was a gator blue that hit the plug and fought me for a couple minutes before it was jumped by another fish that went for the teaser (dumb dumb dumb!) and cut the line.
Of course, that's when my 13 year old daughter reminded me that she had school in the morning and really needed to get home. Sigh.... Yes, dear.
I spoke to one guy on the way out who told me he's caught big blues there every night for the past week on an SP Minnow.
So, it's not over, I guess, but just moved more to an evening bite.

Repeated Saturday's trip to Navesink river yesterday on kayak...6.30am to 2pm...beautiful weather with light winds in mid 60ies...water around 70F...targeting fluke and this time besides 15 shorts I caught 3 keepers at 18.5", 20" and 23"...this time I used exclusively killies...as as by-catch killies attracted 4 blues and a small bass...whereas somebody would think this had been a successful trip which I would agree but you had to work hard for each of these bites

Last couple of nights a few gators at dusk, then nothing. Haven't seen a bass for a few days, although a bait guy did get a cobia down the beach from me. It's been very calm, thinking we need some NE wind to stir things up for one last hurrah.

Was out for a couple of hours this morning in the boat and managed a 21" and a few hits. Windy now, and it was wind against tide most of the time.

Will be hitting the surf and clamming next week... that's the plan anyways.

Moco Outfront. Bottom of the outgoing tide and a south wind with knee high swell. Beautiful clear and clean water again. Managed six shorts all carbon copies at 16 inches.
I was using light casting gear with a hammered spoon and a plastic eyed, gray and white clouser teaser. All took the teaser and are still swimming.

Out yesterday for the dropping tide, three blues then nothing on the incoming. I might try the honey hole on Friday for some fluke.

Moco Out front WNW wind chest high swell with clean white water and a strong south to north current. Surfers delight. I was on the fly and caught one striped one short at 24" working the day shift, and still swimming. 8 weight intermediate line on a white and chartreuse half and half.

IBSP early; Bay side; strange blue fish bite; fished topwaters; about 12-13 hits and hooked 2-3; friends with me had same; three of us had about 40+ hits and whacks and caught 12 fish; swirls right in front of me, big fish....never took the hook; tentative at best; my experience is when blues miss the first hit they get angry and whack it again; this was very different
