Hi Guys,

I'm getting pumped to do some surf fishing this year. I was wondering if anyone knew of a beach in MA where I could drive my truck onto without a permit. For example, I hear that Duxbury has a nice beach that you can drive out to but I think you have to be a resident with a permit to get out there.

Thanks in Advance,
Mike

I travel many beaches and know of none with 4x4 access and no fee. Your dreamin' Duluxbury does sell nonresident permits.

Duluxbury permits are $200 for non-residents. They will be enforcing a maximum of 500 vehicles on the beach at any one time, 250 resident, 250 non.

Shouldn't be an issue for early morning, late night fishing.

Do you still need a permit for night fishing?
its my understanding that you have to get a night fishing permit at the gate...fee free just to keep track of how many rigs are fishing.

Don't know about the night fishing pass. I know they close the vehicle access to the beach at 11pm until 7am or thereabouts. You have to park in the lot or on the back road and walk.

I don't know if that is free or not.
