Default Mailman might be a Fisherman

I think my mailman reads some of the magazines that I get delivered to my house . I also think he might be a fisherman!! My issue of the , The Fisherman comes almost a week after I see it on the news stand! It's really starting to piss me off. I am still waiting for the issue with the $100,000 fish on it!!!!!

Please call the office to report the problem. We can help you out by putting in a postal watch and figuring out if it's the postman reading it or if you are part of a bigger problem that is due to the USPS automating the sorting process. The number is in the magazine, 732-295-8600

Bryan,

FWIW, 20 years on the job & The Fisherman is one of several pubs that we sort manually. At least that's how we handle them in Staten Island. Thin newsprint gets shredded in the automated flat sorter, so we throw The Fisherman, The Law Journal, The Chief, Jewish Weekly News, etc. all by hand. I'm not sure how they handle those pubs in NJ.

There are plenty of postal workers who fish, and we definitely know how it feels to get The Fisherman late. We want everyone to get their mail ASAP - especially fellow fishermen!

PTW - Bryan is correct about the publication watch - there could be some technical glitch along the way. Especially if the rest of your mail comes in a timely fashion.

Steve

Years and years ago (15+) my dad had the same thing happen to him. He understood that the newstand and delivery were different. What he couldn't understand was why his friend in the same town got his and my dad didn't get his until a week or so later. He had a stern talking to the Post Office and wouldn't you know that those magazines started coming in on time.

So Bobes, are you saying I should go postal in my Post Office? Sounds like a good idea. When I was a kid (around 12 years old ) I use to deliver the Press. On my route, there was a guy that had playboy mailed to him(Jackpot), back then it came wrapped in a brown paper sleeve. Lets just say I got very good at rolling up the magazine just right, so it would slide right out without ripping the paper wrapper. I always had it back to him in a couple of days! And I was 12 for god sake!
