Default Hey Togue!

Hey Togue you had a great weekend!
Ya just have to love it.
I think there is no place on Earth like our little
Heaven!

It is always good to see you too!
You always give me a different light on the situation.
Thanks for the plugging tips.
Someday I hope you are there and can teach me first hand.
I HATE plugging. But I loved what you told me about it.
I always try, but suffice it to say I like bait fishing.

This has been another banner year for us.
Our freezer is well stocked, I gave a 37 inch fish away to well deserving friends, fed my family, took thousands of unbelievable pictures and had the time of my life.
I just don't know how it can be a better life.

I caught many many sunrise pics and some cool sunsets.
I watched fireworks twice aweek from afar.
I watched my husband in his glory.
I caught my share of good fish and a should I say it?
Probably 1000 fish.
My 40 being the best.
It is time to say goodbye again and I am ready.
My gear has taken a beating.
No matter how good I have taken care of it it is failing now.
Time to recoup, ask Santa for new reels and gear up for the spring!

It ain't over till its over! Don't hang itup just yet. Fall run is in full swing.

I'm still jockeying for my next trip. Just can't get enough punishment.

Good to see you folks again as well. That's what I like about PI. Nice folks, many of the same faces each year, and the finest piece of God's own earth to spend time on.

Oh it's a fine place alright.
I love it. But it has taken a beating on us this year.
We broke 3 rods and 4 reels.
All are getting fixed.
I hope Santa reads my letter this year.

Man even with the care we take, we put a hurt on our gear.

All worth it though. EVERY SECOND!!

I was on Emerson Rocks from daybreak to noonish on Sunday (along with 10 other people)....I nor anyone around me even had a strike. The guy next to me said a 37 pounder was caught there the day before on a deadly dicks.....there were birds 700 yards from us pounding the water for hours......with the west wind, it just blew the bait right offshore

I saw that fish! Unbelievable

Skippah what were you doing?
It was non stop for the 2 days I was there.
Too many little fish to count but word on the beach was
lots of keepers.
Poor Togue threw keepers back hoping for a bigger one.
Don't worry Togue, I am giving it 2 more weeks.
It is pretty cold out there at night. Brrrrrrrr!

Skippah, you should have been there Saturday. That's when I hit it.

Now I don't feel so bad for not getting back again on Sunday!

I hope so.
Might be rain.
I'll still be fishing but it is a lot more fun without the rain and wind.
My husband hooked up on what he says was the fish of his life.
Took drag for a long time and then broke off.
Big bummer
It's tough to wonder what could have been.

I was out there this morning about one hour either side of sunrise, lot 3. No keepers but more schoolies (14-18") than I could keep track of. When the small schoolies are that thick up there do you ever take keepers in the same area or do you have to move to find them?

that's what I hear....I was 24 hours late! that's how it goes this time of year! there was a guy next to me on Sunday who fished saturday and he pounded them....over 100 fish.....so he was as stunned as I was at the lack of fish......like I said though, there were a million birds 700 yards out.....way out of casting range.......to make matters worse, kittery Maine has been oon fire....so I should have stayed here and fished!!

ahhhhhgggggggggggggggggggggggg

I don't know.
I guess it would be smart to move but I hate moving when I am all set up.
I caught a keeper in the midst of all the schoolies on Saturday.
My husband hooked that big one but the rest of the day and night and next day were all smalls.

I saw the birds working way out...frustrating as hell.
I kept telling myself that it was just more schoolies out there.

Another question for you PI regulars. I've fished mostly bait up there, any recommendations for lures? Most of my fishing this time of year is early mornings, between 4 and 8AM.

I just got home sense Sunday I must have landed 700 fish I got a 19 pounder on Sunday and a 25 pounder +or- 41 inches Monday, what a 3 day stretch, every muscle in my body hurts. and my striper thumb is raw red. Nothing big today but after 6 hrs of a fish on every cast I couldn't take any more

My freezer is also full and I hardly ever keep fish.

Skipper I talked to you on Sunday morning I had the red sox hat on, and we talked while we were waiting for the water to go out so we could get on the rocks, and we talked about tagged fish, I called mine in and I am getting a pin.

This has been a banner year for me I have a 14.5, 19.1, 25, 28, and a 32 pound plus countless 8 to 14 pounder. and thousands of schoolies and it isn't over. but I am taking a day off maybe 2
