Once the media gets on your case, others pile on. Media needs the copy. They are in the business of ink on the paper. So anything that provides a story is worthy of their attention. Its what they do; they have to sell papers and blank pages do not a paper make.

My wife predicts that the Pats are going to give up the Super Bowl to Baltimore which she feels have a better team. Baltimore has already beat the Pats this season. Pay attention to my wife. She is competent when it comes to football.

She knows everything about the players: who was not renewed and why; free agency, payroll terms, contract expirations. She also has excellent taste in men

I think the Pats are history. Even speculation is that Brady will not renew his contract. He sold his Mass house and has become distant. Votch!

Belichick's not very happy that his clock trick was used against him in wild-card win.

Unless you could get your New England anglers ( or Joyce ) to join this thread then yup, pretty much everyone is happy about their loss!

Joyce came here for years; she was known as "Momma J". But we had a few trolls who were riding her kind of hard and that offended her causing her to bail years ago.

So what does the Super Bowl and the election have in common?

No Patriots

I give up. What?

I strongly suspect that the Pats are history. They had a good run but I see them in disarray. TB-12 is relocating and speculation is that he will retire. His wife, Budgkin, is talking in circles and the offensive coordinator is looking for a job. Boston press, as usual, is riding hard on the Pats. Anyone surprised???

I don't see them in disarray, but the continuous run of the machine seems to have wound down. I think Kraft getting caught up in the massage scandal, injuries, and folks just getting older, have all played into it. It's been a heck of a run, but the testament to the organization will be if they can rebuild and stay highly competitive. It'll be hard to match their run no matter what.

As good as TB-12 plays, he is not as mobile as quarterbacks should be. For instance he never carries the ball; he takes the snap, then either hands off or passes. Its easy to see what is likely to happen. Sure, he is good but he does play sissy football. While the others are playing tackle football, Brady is playing touch.
