Default Blitz coming to cape Point?

That water temp line (vertical to shore) I love to fish when at the OBX has appeared just North of Cape Point in Buxton.

I would not be surprised to see a nice blitz there (CP) over the next few days maybe even starting tonight.

I bet there ain't 20 trucks on that Point right now.

Doug,

Just curious, are you getting the water temp data from the OI website?

If it came, you'd been fishing in upwards of 35 knot wind gusts today with steady winds in the mid 20's.

That wind should be strong enough to warm that water around the Point to Red Drum water.

The reports from the Red Drum shop in Buxton as well as the Fishing Militia web tell of a good puppy drum bite thursday at the point.

The fact that there were people fishing in that wind (35 mph to 45 mph SW) would indicate that they knew there would be fish there. I'd like to see some pictures of the Point that day, it had to be wild.

Check out today's water temp image, it's amazing how it took only a day of hard N wind to push that cold water around the Point down to Hatteras Inlet.
