From June-August I take off from striper fishing so I can't help ya. I'd think night fishing and bunker or clams. I'll be back at the beach again starting September 17th at least 1 night per week.

back bays, around boat docks where there is strong current. Places you wouldn't normally look for stripers. Look for times when the worm hatches occur. You wont catch quality fish, I use ultra light with 6lb test during that time of the year doing that stuff.

Don't quit in June or even July, look at what has occured the past few years with late bunker runs. But the dog days will set in, I want to try gulp sheddar crabs fished slow on a fish finder rig. Once the bunker pass through those resident bass will be grubbing for whatever they can find. Seaworms worth a shot as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot, don't forget to chunk croakers when they start showing up. You find the right spot, say croakers feeding on mussels washing off the rocks and you often find bass feeding on the croaker in the same hole.

I usually quit so I can get everything done before the fall run. That is whe I ususally put in the most fishing time. The bass will still be around in fewer numbers all summer. I don't like crowds so that's another reason I hang it up durring those hot summer months! Also it gives me a chance to go out on a few fluke trips.

Night-time with smaller plugs and plastics. Mostly in the back around bridges, mouths of creeks, and sod banks--plus jettys with a rip.
