Fished the hook from 5-830 tonight. It was a fluke blitz, stupid fishing night. I didn't move 20yrds for 3 1/2hrs these fish were stacked on top of each other. I lost count after 20, i am guessing about thirty fluke. There was tons of bait the whole time. They were spitting up spearing. Two were keepers, 18&19". Had 15+ that were 16", and a few that were micro but not many. The fish are definitely getting bigger. The last two outings, had alot of very small fish. Had them on almost every cast, if i didn't hook one, i swung and missed. The bait of choice was Gulp of course. 4 and 5" swimming mullet and my new one, "Squido". Since most of the fish were nice size, i stayed with the big mullet and squido, hopeing for a doormat in the mix. I could only hope that i can get a striper night like that in the fall .

Very Nice Bay!!! Thats a helluva night of fluking!

My report fished the rocks last night 730-11pm..It was a kinda slow night for me started on the sand since the tide was up..About 8pm im fishing a Crystal Minnow w/a white teaser(looking for some bass) i get hit hard in the hole i was fishing felt like a small bass get it on the beach and to my surprise it was a real nice keeper fluke @ 18.25in hit the white teaser w/NO GULP!! lol didnt think you could catch them with out GULP anymore(just kidding )..A few more hits and i headed for the jetty fished the first 1 for about an hour until my Stratic 5000 decided to act up and get a big knot in it ..So head back to my truck to get my spare reel its cheaper Sedona 4000 all i had in the truck..Head to the next rock pile and managed a small 20in bass right at my feet on a black teaser. Nothing else but a few more hits so i decide to call it a night.Stopped on the beach before i left and made a few more casts in the hole i got the fluke...Well last cast i feel the Vision hit the bar and knowing there is a hole there give it a big bounce to drop it in the hole,as soon as i do that i get SLAMMED!! tide is out good and this fish puts on a show jumping 2 times and then making a real nice run..I get him back near the wash and another big jumped i saw him he saw me and that was it he threw the hook ..Looked like a decent bass possibly a keeper but ill never no i was pissed..Packed it after trying to hook back up for another 45mins..I dont think i got a good hook set and the 4000 drag is a bit weak..It was my fault but im blaming it on the weak reel That Sedona compared to the 5000Stratic is like a Pinto compared to a Hemi Challenger ...SO a bitter sweet night but ill take it!

amazing catch, no sharks on 'em?

I once found a bunched up school on the ocean front, of what I can only identify as white perch, even though "everyone" said they are "never" out in the ocean.

so who knows

Fished this am 530-1030am..Hit NoMoCo water was flat with a light NW breeze started on the beach with a small yellow Smack-It Jr..Fished a nice hole and had a swirl on th Smack-it right away couple casts later a nice blow up on it but didnt let him take it Sun came up and hit the jetty fished it for about an hour with just a few taps snappers were thick so it was probably them..Hit another hole on the beach and threw on a small Kastmaster (aprox 2in)first cast gets hit as soon as it dropped pulled in a nice 17in fluke managed 3 more after that all 16.5 to jussstt short of 17.5in all hit the Kastmaster i was jigging it just like a bucktail..Headed to the next rock pile and landed another 3 fluke again in the 16-17in. 2 on the mantis shrimp,1 more on the Kastmaster. I thought i had a doormat at onepoint but i had caught a 17in in the side thought i had "the one" ....Nice morning and great weather..They were all about the Kastmaster due to all the snappers around was in a rush to get out and forgot my Snapper Zapper in the truck might have had a keeper fishing live snappers

I keep seeing you guys talk about Gulp! I see that there are a bunch of different types. What kind do you guys use? Can you post a link so that I can make sure to get the right kind? Thanks!
