Happy Birthday Bay, you're catching up to me. You know the saying "I'm in the 4th quarter with no timeouts left" play hard.

not as rewarding as last night at the hook, 11 shorts and my Bud had 3. Another squall came through but not as bad as yesterday. tide was ripping twice as fast as yesterday? probable from the south wind pushing more water. Real tough fishing conditions. Was lucky to land 11

Tough conditions out front with the south wind today, but, not tough enough . Picked away at the shorts with white squido's and 5" glow mullet. Managed 26 shorts and 1 keep. They were slamming that glow when i made it dance Had a few on the outgoing, but most on the incoming eventhough the wind was cranking up the beach. Still sticking with the 1oz sinker, for the feel

congrats Bay, on several fronts. Trying to stink up your new truck? . That's the one I missed yesterday. Hopefully I'll get his father tomorrow. Bring some squidos and some juice. I spilled more last night.

Well i haven't been out fishing much but i figured i would give you all an update. I dove (spearfished) a couple of spots yesterday and wound up in the backbay since visibility in the ocean and local inlets was no good with the outgoing tide. I havent seen too many keeper size fluke in the backbay since mid-june but yesterday i found quite a few. Took home 3 fluke and saw a bunch more larger fish 19+ inches. I think they are working their way back into the bays perhaps to spawn again. Just giving you all a heads up. Good Luck out there.

Captain Ahab - PM sent.

To answer your second question - Tons of Spearing and killies around. I've seen a lot of peanut bunker this year too. Diving the local inlets I've seen tons of blackfish, sea bass, and the occasional striper. Im hoping for the fall the SS Needlefish will be effective again as lately ive seen a lot of 'needlefish' in and around the surf while snorkeling.
