Kroc, you're right... other than for sure hitting south Florida, the actual path is changing each run since it looks to be stalling. But it's going to be a mess, no matter.

way things are trending, heard Joe Bastardi / weatherbell, thinking it might be an Irma type track up the coast after landfall N
(obviously first image below is IRMA, not DORIAN)

At this point I seriously have no idea what this storm is going to do and I don't think the forecasters do either.

The entire system slowed down and now another front is going to push it out as the northern High will have moved offshore pulling it up behind.

Nice forecasting models (not)

It really is incredible. 24hrs ago it was hitting FL for sure and possibly even the gulf coast. Now we're talking NC? I know weathermen take a lot of slack and it's not easy forecasting storms but damn I'm really starting to lose faith in any long term forecast. Hopefully that eastward trend continues and maybe we can spare the Carolinas too.

Looks like SC/NC should be watching this system closely. Doesn't look like it will threaten NJ in anyway, should be way out to sea at that point.

Apparently, it's acting weird enough that models' are causing the track to shift further west again, the past 3 runs have each shifted a little more west, at this point don't take anything for granted. But yes, hope it shifts completely out to sea sooner rather than later.

Can't believe we're still talking about this storm. Rob, is this the slowest moving hurricane ever? That last map actually has Cape May in the cone of uncertainty. This is unbelievable.

Mother Nature refuses to be predictable; this is an all-time monster; moving 1 mph over the Bahamas; last week one model had it hitting FLA 8 mi south of my home in Vero; now we might escape a direct hit; as we all know we focus on wind speed but its the water that is the real issue; still hope for the turn north and maybe a shift out to sea; thoughts to the people in the Bahamas where devastation is happening

I think the water is still an issue for most of the FL ( and beyond) coast... new moon and all.

Yes, this is already an historical worst case for the Bahamas and certainly the slowest moving storm in my adult life... not sure about way back history, most are focusing on the continuous hours as a cat 5
