Mr Wonderful,
If you dont live there year round, you cant be considered a local... Those sunsets sound great! I have taken many sunset pictures from Bayview Av,but seeing them from the porch must be really nice!

Hey guy's it looks like this tournament is going to be one of the best if this good fishing keeps up, just don't let the rain stop ya, lots of fish around for the past two weeks, and it's getting better every day.
I hope some of you guys will weigh your fish in to Barrier Island, I'll be in work that day at 4 Pm till 10 PM.
Good Luck to all,
We'll be there for a few hours in the morning to take some pictures, even though I'd rather be fishing, but gee I have a life time to fish ?? I hope . ! LOL

Gentelmen,
Regarding the Turney...Trying to decide whether to yak in back or should I be on the beach and bring my 7 year old boy. where will it help the team more? Maybe we can get a small yak fleet together at the friday meeting. kind of a plan b or flanking strategy.

On the other hand it might be nice to fish w/ some of you guys on the beach too. What to do.

Guppy: I need clams, bunker, and a 'B&N shirt 2x, and a picture of you. Seems like a business proposal could happen here...so how much will it cost for the pic? Might as well toss in a small package of octopus hooks 6/0 circle.
what life? and could you take the package to the bingo hall and get Father to bless the bait?
That's right- Holy Mackeral!

Shipwreck
With almost 9 hours of fishing time you could probably do both

Hey all, this saturday sounds like a ton of fun. I'm new to this whole surf fishing game but have been fishing and flyfishing all my life. I'm a college student in princeton NJ and would love to participate in this event. Im going shopping tomorrow for gear. My questions are: Whant length rod/weight rod do you recommend for surf fishing lures/plugs? (i never have been much into bait). 2: What capacity reel should i get and with what kind of line. (do i need a shock tippet?) And thirdly is anybody around here (princeton) driving to the meeting friday night and or sat moring cause since im new i'd love to get a heads up on whats going on that would be willing to give me a ride. I've been pouring over posts teh last few days. thanks for your help, you guys are awesome. Also any recs. on what kinda of lures to get? thanks again,
chase

Welcome. If shopping for a surf outfit your question would be better off in the main forum at this time. Reason? you would get allot of good feed back from MANY members. There is so many good equipment the best I can say right of the hip for plugging would be a 9; rod 3/4oz-2oz with a matched reel and 20lb Magna thin line. A good place to start. joe
