Default Tire size mismatch ?

I have a spare rim that due to corrosion no longer holds air and due to an accident two rims that do are ugly. (not that the Bronco is not banged up). Over the weekend I was able to pick up a full set of OEM rims with tires on them (3 almost brand new tires). The size I have on now are P265/75/15, the size of the ones I picked up are
P235/75/15. There is a size differnce I know of an inch plus and this is my beach vehicle and occasional driver when the daily driver is in for maintaince.

The question is can I run with the p235 in the front and p265 in the rear and not damage anything? What would be the down side or up if any? Would using p235 on the beach have any thing negative.

Thanks Jim

Jim
You could only in 2 wheel drive.
As soon as you go into 4 wheel both axles need to spin the same speed or it locks/binds the transfer case.
Ive seen worn tires on 1 axle and new on the other cause problems even when they were the same size.

You may be able to get away with it on the sand however given the tire size differance I would not suggest it.

Thanks Jess
That is the information I was looking for.
I will just switch out the rims and keep the same tires.
