The O's scored 2 touchdowns, Yanks were held to a field goal and stuck with a safety.

Final score: Orioles 14, Yankees 5

Lowlights: Ivan Nova - struggling again.

Well, well, well...look who fell in the well.

Guess replay can't save baseball after all

John Farrell: ?Hard To Have Any Faith? In Replay After Controversial Calls by Zack Cox on Mon, Apr 14, 2014 at 9:22AM Share this: Fancred The Boston Red Sox came out on the wrong end Sunday of a second debatable video review in as many days. The umpires overturned what at first appeared to be an inning-ending double play in the fourth after New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi challenged the ruling on the field that Jonathan Herrera?s throw to Mike Napoli at first base had beaten Francisco Cervelli to the bag.

yeah... it's a crazy world Charlie... everyone keeps taking the football away when you go to kick

baseball needs to speed up the game, not shorten it... and no calls made by the umps have ever bothered me... yell at the tv? sure. But that's baseball.

But the gambling football fans demanded instant replay, and now this has spilled over to baseball. Actually, I suppose it's the advent of HDTV and sportscenter, which agonize over ever ball that hit a half inch above the outfield HR line and was ruled a double or vice versa.

I used to be a big baseball fan. I can't watch it on TV any more. Not because of instant replay. I just can't do it. I can listen on the radio but I can't watch it. I watch both teams bat once and then go do something else.

I watch certain games or parts of games, but not all the games I could watch, that's for sure.

Problem is that, at home, I have too many things to "do"... so listening becomes an enjoyable distraction while doing other chores.

I seriously hope they trade him, and if the pitching coach or manager knew or looked past this, they should go. Yes, I'm serious.

I'm sick of players trying to game the system, although I'm not naive to believe that it hasn't gone on in every generation since the beginning of the game

Here's a million dollar idea.

Custom skin tone matched pine tar for cheating baseball players.

Being an American League pitcher he can't say he picked up residue from a bat.

No, and Girardi claims they didn't know or see it before he went out. Possible, but they knew he used it.

The argument about pine tar is that in cold weather pitchers need something to help their control and Girardi on the air yesterday said he wished baseball had an approved substance for pitchers to use during "cold" (below 65F) games. OK

Still, this kid has apparently been doctoring the ball on his way up to the majors. It's not just during cold weather. And some coaches had to know he was a "regular" and probably just told him to keep it discrete.

Well guess what? He started getting hit in the first inning, or felt he didn't have good control and like a drug addict went back to his source for help. He won't reform, and it makes me question how good a pitcher he will ever be (think Kenny Rogers "miraculous" season with Detroit after he stunk up on the Yankees... lo and behold it was because of his learning how to doctor the ball "discretely")

Hey Rob pitchers using pine tar is widespread and has been for years.
Right now I'm watching the Indians at the San Francisco Giants. Both TV announcers are ex-pitchers and both said they used pine tar.
Cone and Leiter admitted on TV they used it as well, they hid it inside their belts.

Pineda was just extremely stupid!

I agree with you about Kenny Rogers, sucked when he pitched for the Yankees. When he played for Texas (God Fearing Country) they called him "Doc" Rogers.
