Re: Yanks / Mets
interesting stat; pitchers in NL with most wins since 2014; Baumgarner, Kershaw, Arieta, Grienke......and Bartolo; another beauty today; throws 85% fastballs but when you have location and movement it doesn't matter if the hitter knows whats coming; he is amazing

Re: Yanks / Mets
Billy he threw a gem again & the win is good , late flight out , in Ohio very early am / day game that team must have been bushed . Flores was pushing with his base running would have had one heck of a game .

Re: Yanks / Mets
baseball needs to review its scheduling; Keith H is right on this; you play the Sunday night TV game at 8, you don't get a 1pm start the next day...how about at least 4pm???

Re: Yanks / Mets
not many rain outs in the NE this year , meaning double headers , Funny# 17 hates traffic , talks about it all the time , wants to know what food today's game is a free O, needs to go to bed early very much on edge blah blah ... that's what a diet will do to one .

Re: Yanks / Mets
and the NL West is a mystery; Dodgers lose Kershaw and get better; Giants go from one of best records to worst overall since All-Star break;

Re: Yanks / Mets
I'm telling you Yanks / Mets scouts really stink , know a lot of people in baseball & they feel the same , radio / TV people are selling it but the proof is they can't pic their nose when it comes to talent , they were selling off their two ole daddys & both are still giving them innings . Rant No buy tickets to see this talent No , Cable TV is high Yes we are paying thru the nose .

Re: Yanks / Mets
guess being content possible making the 2nd wild cards might be the choice not for most . Mets were in it last year for a bit that will keep the oil lamp rubbers happy for a while , going from 1st to not contending ...will have to see .

Re: Yanks / Mets
For the Yanks, yes. They were already 6 ft under.
For the Mets, no. Even with the injuries, it would be a huge disappointment.
On media: the big 3, 4 if you include Hockey in "big", are out of control financially.
Cable restructuring (aka unbundling), spiraling costs, and other pressures will eventually cause a change, but you're not seeing $10 ticket prices for any of them in your or my lifetime.
