You know you're from Jersey when . . .
You don't think of fruit when people mention "The Oranges."
You know that it's called Great Adventure, not Six Flags.
A good, quick breakfast is a hard roll with butter.
You've known the way to Seaside Heights since you were seven.
You've eaten at a diner, when you were stoned, or drunk, at 3 A.M.
You know that the state isn't one big oil refinery.
At least three people in your family still love Bruce Springsteen, and
you know the town Jon Bon Jovi is from.
You know what a "jug handle" is.
You know that WaWa is a convenience store.
You know that the state isn't all farmland.
You know that there are no "beaches" in New Jersey--there's the
shore--and you don't go "to the shore," you go "down the shore." And when
you are there, you're not "at the shore"; you are "down the shore."
You know how to properly negotiate a circle.
You knew that the last sentence had to do with driving.
You know that this is the only "New" state that doesn't require "New" to
identify it (try . . . Mexico . . York Hampshire-- doesn't work, does it?).
You know that a "White Castle" is the name of BOTH a fast food chain AND
a fast food sandwich.
You consider putting mayo on a corned beef sandwich a sacrilege
You don't think "What exit?" is very funny.
You know that people from the 609 area code are "a little different."
Yes they are!
You know that no respectable New Jerseyan goes to Princeton--that's for
out-of-staters.
The Jets-Giants game has started fights at your school or localbar.
You live within 20 minutes of at least three different malls.
You refer to all highways and interstates by their numbers.
Every year you have at least one kid in your class named Tony.
You know the location of every clip shown in the Sopranos opening
credits.
You've gotten on the wrong highway trying to get out of the mall.
You know that people from North Jersey go to Seaside Heights, and people
from Central Jersey go to Belmar, and people fromSouth Jersey go to
Wildwood. It can be no other way.
You weren't raised in New Jersey--you were raised in either North Jersey,
Central Jersey or South Jersey.
You don't consider Newark or Camden to actually be part of the state.
You remember the stores Korvette's, Two Guys, Rickel's, Channel,
Bamberger's and Orbach's.
You also remember Palisades Amusement Park.
You've had a boardwalk cheese steak and vinegar fries.
You start planning for Memorial Day weekend in February.
And finally . .
You've NEVER, NEVER pumped your own gas.
AMEN!!!

The greatest single industry is chemicals; New Jersey is one of the foremost research centers in the world. Many large oil refineries are located in northern New Jersey. Other important manufactured items are pharmaceuticals, instruments, machinery, electrical goods, and apparel.

I don't think I've duplicated any from above (but maybe...):

You watched "Mallrats" and said "I've been to that mall!"
Fact: "Mallrats" was filmed in Woodbridge Center and
Menlo Park Malls

At least half the people you knew in high school went to
Rutgers, Seton Hall, or William Patterson.

You know where Jimmy Hoffa is buried (Giants Stadium for
those that don't know...).

Your big class trip in elementary school was to Morristown.

You long for the days when the Devils won the Stanley Cup
and not just the Eastern Conference

You know that the only people that call it "Joisey" are
from New York.

You've planned a local trip around ensuring you pass at
least one Dunkin' Donuts.
Fact: Parsippany has the most Dunkin' Donuts in New Jersey

You've been stuck in traffic on Rt. 3, 4, 17, 22, 46, 80,
280, and 287
Fact: The Intersection of Routes 80, 280, 287, 46, and 202
in Parsippany is busiest in the State. The Parkaway and
Turnpike in Woodbridge is second.

You know that there are bakeries which are not part of a
supermarket, but actual individual stores.

One time, a seagull sh*t on your head.

You don't have to go to Red Lobster to get fresh seafood.

You once said, "It smells like New York in here,"

The Garden State Parkway doesn't freak you out at night.

Fact: Route 46 has 121 jug handles, Rt. 22 has 94,
Rt. 9 has 90, Rt.1 has 54

You have mandatory recycling. Enforced by law.

You've eaten a pork roll and cheese on a hard roll...and
like it.

You say "water" and "Dog" weird. (Wadder, Cawfee, Dowg,
wadever)

You've lived through hurricanes, nor'easters and fires,
but have never seen a tornado or earthquake.

You know that ACME is an actual store, not just a Warner
Bros. creation.

You know where to get the best bagel.

You think the Olive Garden is crap and should have never
opened any restaurants in New Jersey.

Your car is covered with yellow-green dust in April and May

You can't understand why there aren't more 24-hr diners
elsewhere in the country

You live within 30 minutes of at least three different malls

You've seen or been in a fight between a Devils fan and a
Rangers fan

You have or know someone with mafia connections too

You're related to someone who thinks the New York Giants
should be called the New Jersey Giants

You have more than one friend who drives a truck

You've been in a town or city where Spanish is spoken more
than English

You've been to a party in the woods

You know where to get a freshly cooked Taylor Ham, Egg and
Cheese sandwich at 2 a.m.

You remember Action Park and may have been seriously
injured there

At some time you got on the wrong highway trying to get out
of Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. Route 46, 80, 23, Service Road?
Help!

Anything more than three inches of snow is major in New
Jersey

You think people from South Jersey talk funny!

Is the Olive Garden patron one in the same as the Domino's pizza patron?
