The cod are inshore and taking worms. Most are undersized but lots of doubles on my rigs. I switched all rigs to circle hooks cause the cod ALWAYS seem to swallow. Besides, I lost fewer bass this past year with the circle hooks.

I've only got cod when its dark. During the day I had sculpins and more sculpins. I fished herring cove twice and race point from the visitors center once in December, and only a pair of cod made it to the dinner table. Better than nothing, and even if they are small, I can remember a few years ago when the werent around period. I need to learn plugmaking or something cause i'm spending to much money at gofishin and ebay. Winter here ****s. I've heard from the guys at nelsons that the cod fishing is getting better inshore and should heat up in the spring. I look forward to that.

It isn't too cold when its in the 30's and 40's. But this 20's and teens stuff is ridiculous. Good thing southwest has the 99 dollar flights to west palm. I'd rather catch jacks and kings in shorts and a tshirt than sculpin in 10 layers anyday.
