Default Sept. & Oct. Fishing Reports 2016

As always don't be to specific of an area your fishing.

We enjoy reading your reports. Surf, boats, fresh water are all good.. Pictures are even better.
Good luck, have fun and be safe.

Technically a September bass as it was caught and released after midnight.

Taped out at 29" and released to fight another day.

Nomoco in the front dead low afternoon till dusk. NE wind with choppy but flat clean water. The swell was not present. I was using the high low rig with plastic and caught over 30 sea robins all of large size. Chartreuse was the color preference. No flat ones to be found. Swim bait and snappers observed. My tour was over just as John B and Rui arrived rigged up to chase the stripes. Hope they did well and report back to us all.

I believe in you! Remember that place you first kayaked at night? I would try there after dark.

Wasn't from a boat...boardwalk, pier, bulkhead is as specific as I'm willing to get on the internet.

I got some comments on the photo the other day. Its been run through the SuperPhoto app which gives it a nice effect (a nice thing is it also helps blur the background to help prevent spot burning).

Two short fluke and a few sea Robbins. Quite a crowd after dark for this time of year but nothing caught except a handful of small bluefish.

Scared off by the Herminie forecast like everyone else only to wake up to another beautiful crisp morning. Decided to go and do some pre-storm crabbing and bait scouting. I am glad the storm missed us as the potential for it to draw all the bait out of the back bays this time of year literally sucks!

Found a ton of peanut bunker all mixed sizes even after all the fish kills we have had but no signs of mullet in the usual places.

Crabbing was on fire filing a 5 gallon bucket in a few hours while being selective to throw any crabs under 5" back. We had a hard time keeping up with all the hand lines and I rushed over a slimy rock pile that caused me to fall. I scraped my hand up pretty badly which put an end to my day.

Looks like I won't be fishing for a week or two.
