Rough night last night, not a tap, couldn't find anything. Hit about 5 different spots with the same result. Didn't see anyone else hooking up either. Talked to a kayaker who said he wasn't marking any fish. Water definitely felt colder....so I need to pay better attention to the temps, amazing how a couple degrees can shut it down.

Been hitting local streams before work and picking out rainbows, in the one stream there's a really nice size palomino, but so far I can't find a fly he wants.

my thoughts exactly; I remember last year starting with schoolies on my light fluke rig and BOOM one day the 8+ lb gators were there...a challenge to say the least; will bump it up one notch next trip

Bass can tolerate cooler water (45 degrees) and warmer water (60 degrees or better) but when it fluctuates 3 degrees in a short period of time (one tide change) as the bay showed today it will shut them down until they reacclimate. They don't like sudden swings in MHO. Yes? No?

I got bit off soaking clams in Brig yesterday, so I'm guessing you heard right. Couple of schoolie bass otherwise. Didn't see any of the large drum everyone else seems to be catching around there either.

Got out for a bit yesterday afternoon, the big boys are back. Got 5 in less than an hr that were 12-15lb range. One other came unbuttoned after getting me in sticky spot with no way to land him. Thankfully it pulled the hook before my rod broke (or me trying to get to him). Kept one 12lb on the boga to make the gf happy, she loves her bluefish!!!

Nice work; glad to hear the reports; the big boys are great fun and keep fighting you even on the beach; a major reason to carry pliers and metals with a single hook

Nice catching everyone. I was out last week, incoming tide. Found a pod of schoolies. Pick at them for an hour all on a candy teaser. A few seals and loons also. I did find a soccer ball on the beach too, so technically I brought something home.

Yesterday afternoon, out front, schoolies as far as you could walk. Then the seal showed up. Today, one bluefish.

Decided to check out a known spring bluefish spot and wow, there was actually a line of people waiting for them to finally show up. Nobody fishing of course, just bullshitting.

had a chance @ two outings one w/ a guide to fishing the Boca Ciega Bay flats DOA 9am - 1pm cal & Mirrolure produced the inshore slam , Trout,Red, Snook no monsters but fun & a lot of wind , another day I went to Fort De Soto w/ the 8w walked the flats on the low tide produced 1 Trout pink / Chart. clouser / 1 Red Grassett's Flats minnow. Wading the flats was a lot of fun , being the only angler on that flat 7:30 am - 10 am .

Attaching (I hope) 2 photos that give fishermen a bad name. I hope the boys who left this pile of 12 pound blues on the beach to rot see this post, but I doubt they will. I wish I had been there when they did this, but I wasn't. I hope everyone out here will step up and say something if they see this kind of pointless killing, whether blues, rays, or sea robins. All part of the ecosystem. Disgusting waste of life.
