Saturday May 21 around 5:00pm, I was driving on to Island Beach State park at Gilikins, and some dude comes running up to my truck all frantic. He dislocated his shoulder I he says, how? I have no idea. "He says dude you got to help me put it back in" (that was not a cool thing to feel at all). Secondly, he was bleeding like a champ on his opposite hand. There was blood all over the beach from this guy. Once I helped him get his arm back in place he got in his truck and sped off. Wondering if he is a member here, and how in the world can this happen?

That dude had a long run\walk if he took off from Gilli's, with no vehicle!

The bathing units start 1mi. S. of the Gilli's entrance, and you have a haul N. to the lots at the maintenance shed, passing by the mansion, if on foot.

Did you see a bike? I wonder if he got knocked off one, or just dumped it? The area he was at sounds more bike related than fishing.

Did you call the gate house?

"Once I helped him get his arm back in place he got in his truck and sped off. "

I think the guy drove off the beach, not walked. With the amount of blood Macpintail said the guy lost I think he'd pass out before walking off the beach.

My bad, I missed the "got into his truck and sped off." part.

That's bizaar, at any rate. That would've freaked me out.

Maybe he hit that HUGE hole left in the sand near the entrance after that buggy was dug out.

The guys in the buggy were there all Friday night until someone else stopped with a LONG HANDLED shovel (good hint for those carrying little Boy Scout camping shovels) and helped them dig out Saturday morning.

Hitting a hole like that can wrench the steering wheel from your hands and do other "bloody stuff".

Pat...I don't remember what kind of vehicle they had and they were almost right next to me.

I know the story because I asked them if they had cables before I stopped you. I also asked them why their lines kept washing up on the beach in front of me. (looked like two ounce sinkers) They said they were sleeping because they were up most of the night digging with their hands, and any boards they could find in the dark without flashlights.

They weren't in the tournament....and were fishing on Friday afternoon. They got stuck on the way out before it got dark and spent the night attempting to dig out.

Once again thanks for your help.
