Default My condolences to Yanks fan

Sorry your team LOST! I'm sure those 26 titles are easing you suffering today...

Hey Bob D...I have a few extra Mets caps around if you need one.

A total disgrace.

My take is this, when Matsui and Shefield came back the whole chemistry was thrown for a loop.
Matsui at least hit. (4-16)

Joe Torre HAD to put these guys back in the line up.
He had no choice.
If he would have stayed with Cabrerra and Williams and they bombed, Joe would have taken the flack for NOT putting in his $$$$$ players.

Either way the Yankees looked like fools.
I am VERY dissapointed.
I really thought this team was going to win it all.

Johnson has to go, A-Rod has to go, Shefield has to go!

Too many guys looking for the seats when they should be playing basic baseball.

Now all I can hope is that the METS fall to the Cards.

I am disappointed but this is not life and death plus every single guy on the Yankees squad, including those at minimum salary make more than me and probably you so I don't feel sorry for them.

Maybe I'm different but I've always followed the Mets and hope they make it to the World Series and win. I DO have a Mets cap already, thanks anyway Frank.

I'm also hoping that the Tigers get wiped out by Oakland. Kenny Rogers was amazing on Friday night, he sucked when he pitched for the Yankees, sucked as a Met and ho-hum sucked as a Ranger. He looked like he was possessed on Friday night. Bonderman did not look like "Tom Terrific" on Saturday, the Yankees were choking before the first pitch and just continued gagging for 9 innings.

Unlike the guys on FOX and ESPN I am not impressed that Jim Leyland wears standard baseball spikes. This guy I can't stand. I hope the A's and the Big Hurt put a lot of hurting on them!

The old rule is still valid good pitching beats good hitting. What the Yankees desperately need is good pitching. After Wang & Mussina the staff is just avaerage. I would however re-sign Corey Lidle. Make him the 5th starter.

Sheffield is only a designated hitter, I'd rather have Giambi and Bernie as DH.

The big question really is, what boo-boo will Pavano have when Spring Training starts next year?

So, now we've got Yankees fans who will root for the Mets?

Bob, were you also pulling for Navy over Air Force yesterday? How 'bout against Rutgers next week? :p

I love the fact that the Yankees have been knocked out of the playoffs five of the past six years by teams with less than half their payroll.

Are you guys seeing the reports that Torre is out and Pinella is back? I know the Nats spoke with Pinella this week, but if this is true it would be great to have Joe T down here. (Though watch, they'll probably end up with Showalter. )

Meanwhile, Frank, I've already broken out my "Mets are Pond Scum" t-shirt.

Hey Bob, how about putting the formatting into the reply window

At any rate, No. Torre should have stayed with the team the GOT him there, and not screwed around. The TEAM should have told Matsui and Shef to sit until next year (yeah right) and Torre is likely going to lose his job anyway.

At this point, almost the entire cast must go.

THIS is why I'm not a fanATIC, just an enthusiast of the game. Drives my nuts. I gave up being a total fanATIC back in '97 when the yanks went out to the Indians in the first round...though I did go to one of those playoff games.

I really hope the Mets make it to the WS.

Torre stays, congrats! He is part of the solution. His players didnt execute, if the games were tight

I admire how the Yankees make a decision quickly so they can get on with their business.

I hope the Sox take a page from the Yankees on that. Last season there was the whole Red Sox front office fiasco, the trade deadline rumors with Loretta, Lowell, etc.
