I like a couple of guys on the Pirates and one of my daughter's went to school there, so... no apologies.

Plus, I've never been a "root for your division" kind of guy when it comes to the Red Sox

I just heard on the radio that Louisville is marketing a Mariano Retirement Commemorative Bat. Spare me. For a pitcher who never used one. Makes more sense for StriperSurf to market a Mariano Retirement Commemorative Sinker.

Yah, the retirement memorabilia is over the top, but tell our grand puba to get with it, it'll generate more hits to the site

I'm not big on this new playoff with the wild card but I could get into a Pirates - Indians WS.

The Mets are looking for a new radio station. The FAN didn't pick them up for 2014. That's 2014 the year, not 2014 the number of listeners they attract.

LOL... the yankees apparently are on the FAN for 2014, but I still won't listen to boomer and carton on the morning drive!

I could handle Boomer if Carton wasn't around. I'm surprised Imus has any following.

To be honest, I do listen to Imus more than any other morning show.

That said, I listen to an ipod about 99% of my morning drive time

Imus usually has a guest on at the bottom of the hour, so I'll tune in to hear who he has and decide
to keep it on or not.

I listen to NPR in the morning before it switches to WNYC uber liberal local content. Imus should retire before he gets shit canned, don't listen to WFAN only because Carton drives me completely nuts.

I was hoping to see the Bucs in the world series but have to admit that St Louis is a very good, well balanced team that knows how to play the game the right way. Without a doubt it's the best franchise in MLB and St Louis fans are the best.
I wasn't living in the US during most of Mattingly's career so rooting against the Dodgers makes perfect sense to me. I really can't stand LA, and their 2 hot dogs, Yasiel Puig and Henley Ramirez.

I hope the Tigers can beat the Red Sux so there would hopefully be a rematch with the Cards.

Of course FOX would prefer the WS teams Red Sux and LA because their ratings would be huge.

I wonder if all the Yankee haters on WFAN are going to look for new jobs.

Looks like Red Sux () v Cards.

I too was rooting for the Pirates, but indeed, St. Louis is definitely the best organization in baseball, and truly the most dedicated baseball market in the country.

If you've ever been out there, there really is not much else

Thumbs down Re: The 2013 New York Baseball Thread

The biggest "phantom" call at 2nd base I've ever seen.

I don't think I've ever seen that many replays of a phantom tag before
