If anybody comes across a big blue in RB with a mag darter in it's mouth, let me know. I think he actually winked and laughed when he surfaced, right before he bit me off.

Nomoco Out front in the afternoon with a flood tide, and east wind. Surf breaking at the shore with some floating debris. Water was warmer than the weekend. I dragged the bottom with a high( teaser) and a Low(plastic swirly tail) rig. Not a touch from a flat one or a dial, while working several hundred yards :head scratch: The birds and blues( I assume) were 300 yards off the beach.

Fished around the tourists this past holiday weekend down south in Cape May County. Dunked bait (clams) most of the time out front and threw some small bucktails on the jetty. Lots of junk (sharks, skates, grass) in between 2 decent fish, both of which came on bait...36", 18# on Sunday morning just before the lifeguards showed up and a hefty 46", 38# on Monday night in the dark. Both fish released to swim another day. All in all a good weekend. Now if I could only find a few of those elusive weakfish.

I actually have a June report Picked up 7 small blues today on poppers, be on the lookout for a blue with a white ss popper in his mouth one of my favorites, I'll never learn. I need to load up the bag with some junk.

blues showed up on the beach this am; water was really nice; clean and white; Kastmaster; got an old popper from my car and first 3 casts it didn't take 2-3 cranks of the reel and "bang"; was lots of fun; biggest about 8-9 lbs
