Not quite orange it was a bunker scale pattern on the brownish side.
If I'am not mistaken, that was a prototype that Kevin was showing at a SurfDay around 7 yrs ago. He had three at the show, I should have taken them all .
One of the funniest things is to watch a bluefish try and chomp the tail off. No more of that for me it will still be fished, but not in the company of those yellow eye demons
I have about a doz. sharp eyes, but only one indestructible paddle tail.

Thanks. It's like an indestructible storm shad.
I always admired this plug. Made a few searches on the Web and came up empty so it seem to be a limited batch.
When you get a chance can you post a better picture of the tail and mabey the diameter. May be worth a try to attempt to replicate

When I showed it to Rui, he thought that maybe it was carved as one piece then cut and thru wired. There is a strip of lead in the bottom that is recessed into the plug as a Kiel. The thru wire at the end of the plug was wrapped around the shank of the hook. I am not sure how the thru wire on the paddle is made.

If Kevin Gledhill reads this, you need to get back in business, these plugs catch.

Thanks for the detailed pics. It's an interesting piece. I have never seen his work but reading up on his hand carved work from his NYC apartment was cool.
Not sure if the plugwas split, mabey chanelled and the hook was epoxied in as was the lead keel.
Interesting work tho

yes, but that's the one I won on guess the BD date of Lucas, Blazes' new baby. You can never have too many of those beauties. If you're shaking me down I'll go as high as $22 and I'll pay for shipping.

Greenpoints are very unique. Definitely one of a kind. I was just at surf day and there were plugs up for 100$ each.

If I'm out and recognize any of you guys, I'm not opposed to volunteer field testers throwing my plugs. Most here probably fish more in a month than I can in a year.
