Moco; Out front and in the back with an E wind that shifted to the SE while on the fly. Lots of adult happy bunker. One strike at the lip that emptied the fly basket before coming loose. Gave it from 4PM to 8:30PM with no luck.

Moco: Outfront 5p to 7p Bottom of the ebb with a strong sweep and waist high swell with clean white water. NW wind for the first hour and then the clouds and south wind arrived. I was on the fly and all was quiet.

I turned inland and fished the confluence of the Lehigh and Delaware rivers on Friday. In 3 hours (time limit adhered to on pain of relationship-death) I landed between 30 and 40 shad while fishing in my waders. Saturday afternoon I got in 2 more hours but only landed 8 or 10. I did put a couple big roes in the cooler to feed to my brother in law who loves to eat them, and one buck that swallowed a hook, which will go the the beach with me for chunking.
Met some fine guys there - a pleasure to meet and fish with!

no idea what this storm means for the fishing; we have 20mph + most of the day with steady rain; unless wind and rain are too strong I'll give it a try early in morning; and to all those ladies who cared for us and without whom we would not be fishing and blogging and who are watching us saying "stay dry and warm and don't hook yourself".....Happy Mothers Day

Ventured out on the kayak yesterday afternoon in Raritan Bay as soon as wind stopped ...that was around 11am...water temps 61F...air in mid 60ies...the water was stained but fish-finder was indicating bass below which was good ...high tide was around 2pm but I could not buy a hit until 3PM... the fish was lazy....then a flurry of activity started...ended up with 4 keepers over 30" and 2 shorts...not too bad

RB is a mess, The extra high tide is picking up more debris and flotsam crap, soon to be coming to a beach near you. Temperatures down ten or more degrees. I think they should delay the opening of fluke season for two weeks and give us two weeks on the back end.

Maybe you'll see the back somewhere instead of the beach.
