Moco Outfront 5p to 8p South wind with ankle high swell from the top of the flood tide. Three short fluke on the hammered spoon and teaser with the fish taking the teaser.
Switched out to a mag darter and hooked, landed and released two ten pound plus yellow eyed devils as the sun disappeared.

out early; looks like it might be over down here; no one fishing beach or jetty; 3 days in a row and only saw one blue caught; need to turn my attention north

Still some decent fish around. Got a few 28-30" the other night, if you can get your plug past the blues

Went back out tonight to find a few more. Got in about 15 casts before the lightning chase me off the beach.

Moco Outfront 5p -8P. One small sundial. No bait observed. I threw the kitchen sink toward England, and just escaped the storm.

Tried some fluking on Saturday from a kayak in Navesink river...big crowd of boats and kayaks but larger fish was not cooperating...all shorts ...had killies , squid and gulp...caught 11 shorts and on 18.001" keeper which was also released...very disappointing...later I heard that other people were not catching either...water was 72F and air close to 80F...my first trip this year without a drysuit

Bill, thanks for leaving some for my daughter and me . Tomorrow's the class trip and I'll be meeting them there sometime after lunch.
Did you try the bay side?
I'll bring plugging rods for us and some frozen shad for chunking. I'd love for her to hook into one of those blues with a bad attitude.

Joe...did not try Bayside with west wind; was quiet everywhere; heard of 3-4 blues caught; water was beautiful and clean

If you want some dinner, there have been flounder in the surf, unlike our northern brethren, in flat sloping surf, I like a 2 oz sinker with a 3 way, and a 30" leader to a fluttering "bait" but YMMV. Cast and walk, cast and walk until you find them

local group consensus is it's over here; time to switch to jig heads/bucktails and gulp for fluke and weakies; up side is no more getting up at 3:15 am...probably
