Default casting pluga

ok last hitting around season was my first got the off the ground cast down hitting between 80 and 100 yards have to elastic my bait so i dont lose it but i want to start throwing plugs this year my question is how far should i be able toss em out there i have a 10 foot 2 piece seems more weight goes father any info??? by the way i really appricieate the help you guys have givin me in the past

Depends on your rod, line and most important the aerodynamics of the lure your tossing.
Poppers and metal go further then metal lip swimmers and bombers.
