Default Looking to do some fishing on the North Shore!

Is there a good spot to catch some pollock or winter flounder around?

I don't know about Pollock(I have never caught any from shore) but you could try the Powderpoint Bridge in Duxbury for winter flounder.
The hard part is finding bait.

Hi Striperbeaner, I am a fellow Lynner, but would go to the public pier under the Beverly bridge for the two species you named. Also, obear park in Beverly on the salem line. years ago, Lynn harbor out near Nahant provided good flounder and pollock fishing from boats. But from shore, I don't know. You might try the MDC pier by the General Edwards Bridge, casting out into the channel. Again years ago it was good for those species from a boat in that area.

Gloucester harbor can get both, especially flounder. If you can find access, you stand a chance. I don't fish the shore much, but have sucessfully picked up both in the inner harbor and by the Manufactory and Greasy pole platform.
