Fished a popular south shore area of SI yesterday, late afternoon/early evening. Using live snappers for bait had a great time fishing. In under 3 hours I caught 3 fluke, 3 blues, 1 weakfish and 1 striper.

I've been having good luck on Seguine Point and Princes bay as long as there's a little bit of current. Fluke, Blues and Weaks so far from those areas. No bass...YET

Seguine point is very close to the channel with mussel beds to the right and small rocky/ sandy bottom to the left. Going past the "pond" wolf"s pond ( walking left) is a mud flat. The water can really rip there at full / new moons. Like any place in S.I. it is a hit or miss spot but can produce at any time. The bait is plenty at least very recently. And a mix bag can be found there Blues , stripers, weeks, fluke. Also word of caution if wading, TANKERS will and can reate a strong under tow by both the bow and stern of the boat. NOT life treating but keep an eye on the water when one is near by. ~~~~~ Ltspruce
