Once had an AH pass 15' in front of my bow with my anchor out on my kayak. It could have gotten ugly fast. Some people are brainless

Had an unusual incident as I was coming back thru the canal ...a guy about 50 yards from me at the shore cast a heavy rig over my kayak as I was passing by...30 seconds later his line got tangled with my propeller and my motor stopped...when I lift it out of the water there was a sinker hanging on my prop...needless to say I could have gotten the sinker in my head...some people are really irresponsible

Some good fluking with friends on Saturday.

Tried in the bay for a few hours with only 1 keeper but I think the heavy rains messed it all up - ran out to the ocean and salvaged the day.

Didn't weight that one but probably 6-7#. All six of those bottom fluke in that picture were great quality.

Fished Sunday on a friend's boat and explored a new area neither of us has fished before. We had 12 keepers plus 2 more that we dropped next to the boat. Kind of silly when I tried swinging in a 5-6# fluke. lol

Great quality again - biggest went 8.5# on a digital scale

closing on the house in PA on Wednesday; NJ shore full time until Nov (unless striper run matches 2016); doing time in Florida from 10th-16th to wait for movers to arrive; first inshore trip for tarpon already scheduled for the 12th; no idea what to expect but excited

Did a quick inshore tuna trip on a friend's boat yesterday...knew it was going to be tough with the good weather and crowds but hoped we could get a fish or two before it got crowded.

We had two BFT on first thing in the morning, one that was pulling a normal amount of drag and one that was clearly an oversized fish. The first run absolutely emptied my Talica 25 spool (550 Yards of braid) and crossed with the other fish. Was about to intentionally break the bigger fish off so we wouldn't lose all the line when it crossed with the other fish and we lost both. Pretty cool to experience that in NJ waters - I've only seen drags scream like that while commercially fishing for giant tuna in NC.

Yesterday I was on the beach at IBSP to watch the tide falling and walk from the last parking lot to the inlet, casting as I walked. For all the good it did I might as well have just walked. I did catch one calico crab with my bare foot out on a sand bar, and by that much, sort of missed the skunk.

I think it?s the other way around, the crab didn?t get the skunk, it caught you .
