Hi Frank, I'm hoping you can help me with these questions. From early spring to late fall what is the succession of the migration of Baitfish (Herring,Spearing,Mullet,Bunker) and Eels for the Jersey Coast? Do they Migrate North to south for water temperature or from fresh to salt water? I'ld like to be able to match the hatch with alittle better acuracy through out the year. Thanks in advance. Andy

Andy,
I have no idea which way the baits go, where they go. Some stay perhaps, like mummichugs and sperling. As for Jersey, I don't even know my own waters. Few people can even identify baitfish. And I once saw surfcasters identify 8" weakfish which were being eaten by bass as ...."coho salmon". Some northern states don't even know they have a mullet run. Still, it is sound reasoning.
