Left for Florida today. Interesting bait reports. Get your AVAs ready and May the sand eels be with you. Will let you know how the reds and snook are treating me

Re: Fishing Reports for the rest of 2018
Moco Outfront10:30AM to 5PM I fished an outgoing tide to the bottom and then incoming. There was a west wind swinging to NW. The tide was running as hard as I have seen all year with this new moon. High tide was six feet over the norm which allowed phragmites reed, branches and tree sweepers, as well as debris to enter the water. I was on the fly and as long as I could keep the pink and white Jiggy fly clean of debris I caught. Lost count between six and ten short stripers.
Safe travels BW!

Re: Fishing Reports for the rest of 2018
Tog this morning were small, going to try this afternoon as well.
Boats are getting decent bass in the back down here, nothing much on the ocean / inlet front. Some jettyjocks are picking some bigger than slots overnights.

Re: Fishing Reports for the rest of 2018
I have not seen any fish 26 inches to 29 inches this fall. A few weeks ago I did catch 4 between 30 inches and 35 inches. But since then, only shorts 25 inches and below The 26 to 29 class would be 6 years old. Hurricane Sandy Time. Even though the spawn was in the spring, could those delicate fish survive the fall in the contaminated water of the rivers and bays. Any thoughts out there obviously other species would be affected but I don?t know their life cycles.
