Default Face of the Name ......

Please put up a picture of yourself, preferably head and shoulders so that we feel we knows ya better. It does not have to be grip and grin fishing. Something tasteful and not too offbeat. Maybe your age, number of years fishing, other interests. No long stories.

Squid/Mule - GREAT PIC !!

Here I am, sitting with a friend, outside of a Museum in the great city of New York about 5 years ago.

I'll let you decide who is who.

54 years, wish most of them were fishing. As it is, really only started fishing in earnest in 1999, although been doing so on and off (too much off though, as it is this year so far as well) for many years before that.

Other interests? Music, mostly through church, one way or another (not as a professional... if you ever heard me, well... you'd have sympathy for the listeners ). Currently directing a local community choir , and am learning banjo... playing in a not-so-talented-but-extremely-fun bluegrass/country band started by a friend.

As usual I didn't follow instructions.

I'll let Mule tell you more about the whats, whatnots, wherefores, and sobeits of his life. I can tell you that he is a retired calculus teacher, (I'm still not sure I understand his explanation of what calculus actually is!), one helluva great fisherman, as ingenious a bugger as you could meet and has the heart of a lion and the soul of a saint. I'll tell you more when I write his story --- the life of a Davidson County legend that I will attempt to put into words.

I'm the guy in blue. 61 yrs old, hoping to retire real (reel) soon, mostly like to fish, enjoy beach marathons and spend time with my bride, my girls and, for the last two years, my grandson Wills --- who will be everything that I am not.

I manage a small company that sells highway equipment and supplies to contractors and principally the municipal market. I love this country and have faith that there are enough fine folks remaining here to bring about some form of moral, legal and economical reason.

My favorite spectator sport is baseball and when the insurrection comes I will be ready to help anyone who is on my side.

Cheers,

AL was way too gracious. But he is one hell of a fine person in every way.
OK FRANK, I'll put the dagnabit picture on the right thread this time. 67 years old. Live to split wood, take care of animals, family, cause as much frustration with the politicians in Davidson Co. as possible, read your books (brownie points), and Drum fish.

MULE.

If you don't know how to post a picture (and I didn't until RobS's instructions), you ought to learn.
Here's some suggestions. Click SEARCH at the top of Frank's site and type in posting a picture. Three pages will come up, and click on 1 and 3 ( at different times of course ) and read RobS's great instructions.
Gremlins and updates on your computer will change the way you do it occasionally, so accept that and wring it out again.
Here's what works for me.
Click post reply.
Type in what you want to say.
Click on the PAPER CLIP icon.
After a few seconds, up comes this BROWSE thing.
Click on the top BROWSE.
Then choices come up where you've got your pictures stored.
Click to choose your picture.
Then click OPEN at the bottom.
That last click will put the sucker's file name in the BROWSE thing.
Click UPLOAD, and give it time to upload (you won't see the picture yet).
Then click the insert image icon at the top (little square with mountains in it).
Then click preview post, and the picture should be there unless the KB's are too big. If so go back and resize.
Then click submit reply.
If I don't follow this to a tee, all Hell breaks loose.
Hope this helps.
MULE

Frank --- you look great since you had all of that work done!!!! Modern science is amazing!! A little more tweaking and you would be a regular Humphrey Bogart.

Here's a pic of myself with a bass from one of my favorite places on earth. 27 years old now, been fishing by myself for 20 years only 4 of which have been in the surf. Some of you may recognize my mug from a recent article I wrote for On The Water regarding Boston Stripers. Frank I must say too that your looking great!

Family: Bass and what they eat
Favorite Spot: Canal
Favorite Spot for Big: Rhode Island
Most Likely to see me: At night from now till October on the my canal bike.

Well, you asked for it...
54 years old, fishing since I was 7 or 8, got away from it for a LONG while, back to serious fishing about 10 years ago, still learning, thanks to Frank and many other here...

Oh, and the bigger striper is one that I caught and let my son hold up for the camera... Aw, OK, so the bugger can outfish the old man 7 ways from Sunday, he still teaches me stuff...
