Default Offshore Sea Bass

I went out Thursday night, 12/22 on an 18-hour sea bass trip on the Voyager. It was my first trip like this, and despite going out in 11-foot seas and fishing in 5 to 8s all day, we did okay. The captain and crew were very good - right from the start, when the capt told one angler he wouldn't be allowed on board because he was drunk. It was a great call, because the guy would have been a headache the whole trip.

We had porgies up to 17 inches (really - I have proof!), and some very nice size sea bass. One lucky guy caught a 4-pound lobster

So the boat left at midnight on Thursday and returned 6PM Friday. I had plenty of fish for the family on Christmas Eve, and the sea bass oreganoto was some of the best fish I ever ate.

I would definitely do it again.
