Launched Tuesday at Blish Point with Red Clark. We hit the turn of the tide to outgoing at that hole but only caught micro schoolies.
Back to the Harbor to find big schools of sandeels followed by eager bass of all sizes to well over 30" all over the place. At any given time, there were four or five schools of working fish in all directions, being swept down on the outgoing.
While opposite the lighthouse, we spotted two deer swimming from the mainland to Sandy Point. While deer are pretty powerful swimmers, these two, were being swept seaward but managed to land halfway between the lighthouse and tip of the point. The button-buck and doe swam by within 50' of the boat.
I've seen a lot of deer at sea, but never a pair at the same time.
The fishing was excellent and I wore out two Gurglers in landing about 30-35 fish.
