I have a Tica SA3500 on my 7ft St Croix. Very nice, well balanced. That reel is very smooth. It was fairly inexpensive, and I've only had it this season, so I cannot vouch for how well it'll hold up, but so far so good.

710 if its going to be beaten.
slammer imo over the ssg (metal body, no worries w/ the anti reverse)
or
spheros- smooth, aluminum body, water proof drag.

okuma has a newer series out that is very reasonably priced, and seems much smoother and better built than other reels in its class. its their alumina series , and it is as smooth as silk on my bomber rod. a lot of companies are coming out with stuff that is priced for everybody. i have used my alumina 45 about 6 times and it seems to be an awesome buy at 69 bucks. it would balance sweetly on that tsunami , and the spool is wide and long for really getting some distance with the lighter tin, and plastic. mines mounted on a 7 foot tica and feels and performs great
