good to see DeGrom get it back last night and the Mets play better. I think fans need to realize that the little slump might also be due to Wright and D'Arnaud being out. We didn't notice it initially because the team was winning but it was eventually gong to cost some wins...and it did. They are important to our success. Hamels vs Harvey Friday night

with regard to the Yankees, they have major holes, and several players were playing over their heads, so they are just coming back down to reality.

with the Mets, I can't say but they seem to be right on track where they should be without two of their guns.

The Mets have 13 players on the DL. They are doing OK with that. Next team with most on DL is 9.

Two starting pitchers, two starting fielders, their closer and three from the pen....and they still have the best record in NY.

I'm not giving you your closer or anyone from the pen. OK, 4 players. Wright, D'Arnaud, Gee, and who else you want to pick.

oh, and the Mets were *supposed* to have a better record than the Yanks. Hope it holds up for ya.

How about Zack Wheeler...185 IP last year with a 3.5 ERA... you wish you had him too.

And who was calling for the Mutts to have a better record than the Spankers?

Me... seriously, I think most believed it was a make or break year for the Mets...

Just to make a run at the play offs with emerging talent. Not to win the division outright.

Make or break what, maybe for the manager or GM?

Wilpons continue to lose money? Well...someone will buy the team if they need to sell.

I am nonchalant.

get me Wright and D'Arnaud back plus 2-3 relievers (Blevins, Carlyle and Montero) and I will be happy. Do not expect to beat Washington but do think with players back we can take a run a wild card...and with good pitching anything is possible...let's watch Syndergard...so far so good. 2 starts but OK

I will say that Washington looks tough, even though the Yankees are not their toughest opponent, in or out of the NL.
