great to see another great outing from DeGrom and 2 monsters from Duda. We need Jake because without tough pitching this team won't win enough

yup, reality is setting in nicely in the bronx.

but let's see what happens after this losing streak, they'll either recover before hitting the ground or it's going to be a l o n g summer for the (former) bombers.

then when the injuries come, well, just pick your other favorites in the AL to watch to keep things interesting

If yesterday's bad outing by Mr.Met # 33 was just a fluke ok but every long ball by the Pirates was 94 mph or better , this is telling me guys might have his # by waiting on it . He is good but also young. Not sure who is calling the game ,bench or Harvey .

The Mets have been taking the first pitch right down the middle and then striking out on pitches out of the strike zone. 10 strike outs Friday. 12 Saturday. 14 today. Almost all swinging at pitches in the dirt.

Dan Darling mentioned during the Mets TV broadcast Monday that this back injury Wright has is usually a career ender. Dykstra had it and recently Giants rookie RB Wilson. They brought up a 3rd baseman from the minors and gave him Gooden's number.

no matter the stuff, he still needs to learn how to pitch.

well well; another young Met arm. Can't wait for Wheeler. Syndergard...7 innings, 6 hits, no runs and he gets 3 hits incl a long home run to center. More young arms helps keep the pressure off Harvey to always have to be the stopper. The future feels good. Not going crazy with expectations for this year but we are really going in the right direction...and Flores ??

Here is the Mets future w/ # 33 ......Can't see the Mets giving him a 6 or 8 year deal. I can see him going to the Dodgers or Anaheim.

The insurance company is paying Wright. That frees up $20 mil. I don't think they can let him walk as a show of good faith to the fans who are a bit frustrated by recent actions and lack of actions by ownership.

I don't see the Mutts giving up Harvey for anything less than top tier all star.

Harvey and his way of pitching is hard to find...it's Seaveresqe.

Location and movement are 10x more important than velocity in pitching, he had a flat fastball day.

Talking Re: The 2015 New York Baseball Thread

say it isn't so....

A-Rod tops Gehrig's RBI mark in Yankees' 4-2 win over Royals (Wednesday's MLB scores)

New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez (13) follows through on a three-run home run to left field against the Kansas City Royals during the third inning of a baseball game, Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in New York. (AP/Julie Jacobson) NEW YORK ? Alex Rodriguez hit a three-run homer to break Lou Gehrig's American League record for RBIs, and the New York Yankees beat the Kansas City Royals 4-2 Wednesday to finish a three-game sweep.
Michael Pineda (6-2) rebounded from consecutive losses and Brian McCann hit a solo shot for the Yankees, who outscored the AL champions 23-4 in their first home sweep of at least three games against Kansas City since August 2007.
