you would think the Yankees office would have learned something from one of the greatest baseball quotes of all time from one of their own HoF player " it ain't over till its over " . They really had an outside chance because looking back the top teams were skunking up the last 20 games on the 2016 schedule. My feelings are 2017 its going to be the same.

I agree, they are having their summer doldrums but things are still lining up for a good push.

Went this past week with one daughter and saw a great half-game...well 2/3rds I suppose.

They fell apart in the 7th in a way that I hadn't seen since I went to a Phillies game 2 years ago

Capped off by Betances coming in and throwing a ball to the backstop, way over Sanchez' head!

Getting late, and with my daughter always wanting to stay to the end, I said "We're OUTTA HERE"

Mets fan from the beginning and have accepted that with the injuries it is just about over; nice to have Matz and Lugo back; my fall back is that if Matz and Lugo start the year, Thor and Familia not hurt and Cespedes does not miss two months...,,,,,, we are at least tied with Nats, but those things did happen oh well

The Mets seem OK with it. He also said Bob Melvin was the best manager he played for. Terry was OK with that, too.

I can't believe that as lousy the yanks had been playing they are seriously still going to have an interesting summer and perhaps some September fun with the kids...

SEATTLE (AP) — The New York Yankees won a series for the first time in six weeks when Aroldis Chapman struck out Ben Gamel with a runner on to preserve a 6-4 victory over Seattle on Sunday, their third win in four games against the Mariners this weekend.
The Yankees had been 0-8-2 in series since sweeping Baltimore on June 9-11. New York had lost 13 straight games a chance to win a series.

Gamel was a Yank but the bombers had too many outfielders so went the trade , he is a very good player .

I though Headley made some very nice defensive plays @ 1st this series .

We stayed home this weekend & back to back games of Yanks & Mets was great ,on the beach next weekend OCNJ
