if your boat from rb is missing it may be in UB near the berg, upside down and blown against the shore.

Five people were rescued from an 18' boat that capsized Friday night trying to tie up to the Keansburg pier.

Five people on an 18' boat is stupid on a sunny day. Taking a 18' boat into 15-25knt East winds deserves a Darwin award.

In the bay-8 am to 12:30 soaking clams. Nada. No birds. No bait. No fish. Is it fluke season yet?

CMC today. a small striped one, but got to watch a pod of dolphin herd a school of bunker to the beach for a slaughter. Awesome scene just a few yards from a some surfers. A few decent sized bass appeared to be casualties also.

was only able to snap a couple of cell phone (and a bad one, at that) pics

there were pods of 5-6 each cruising around the inlet, we turned off the motor and just drifted around as they came under the boat and all around for 20 minutes+ just corralling bait

Wow...nice...but I can bet you that the presence of dolphins did not improve your fishing...

thankfully we were just passing through... we didn't even drop a line in the water when they were around.

I've never had success with them in my immediate vicinity.

Found this when looking around..interesting

"Adult male dolphins, which generally travel in pairs, often swim slowly side by side as they sleep. Females and young travel in larger pods. They may rest in the same general area, or companionable animals may pair for sleeping while swimming."
