Mets had the same pitching at the start of the season....that didnt go so well.

Mets are 25-11 with Cespedes in the lineup, playing just shy of .700 ball.

Their offense has been anemic for years, they will sign him or they are idiots.

another day; another win; Cespedes and young pitching again; glad to hear Keith Hernandez give credit to Clippard who has gone unnoticed with the new offense in town; and Nats have surrendered...they have too much talent to be playing .500 ball; no on field leadership and it shows

But at least they have the MVP

I just realized my post saying the Mets were 25-11 and under 700 ball with Cespedes was incorrect, at the time they were 26-11 and over 700...of course now they are 27-11.

M. Conforto should get ( not Cespedes $ ) but get locked in , I think he will be a much better player in a short period of time & the Mets sent him down 2 or 3x's ?

Putting people in the stands will pay their contracts.

Gate receipts for Yankees? 269M in 2014, for the Mets 74M

They should sign both...

Frank, I don't think Harper should be MVP. Its only a .500 team. I'd give it to Rizzo of the Cubs.

Mets lose lead in 8th after a great job by Noah; come right back to get 2 in 9th and win; Nats get 0 runs on 3 hits and Storen announces he broke his thumb slamming the locker after giving up Cespedes HR on Wed to give Mets lead...another example of a team with no sense of maturity or leadership or discipline....
